I always make sure that when I go someplace new I thrash an album, specifically so I can recall that place better later in life when I listen to the music. For instance, I can almost taste Melbourne’s weird dirty creek that they call a river every time I listen to Tourist’s Tonight EP.
But what happens if you never had music to recall these things? I mean, memory serves perfectly well most of the time, but it’s almost like losing a sense, in a sense.
